Sleep has long been one of the most important but least understood aspects of our lives, wellness, and longevity. The vital importance of sleep is that it enhances our ability to learn, make decisions, build up our immune system, regulate our appetite, and recalibrate our emotions. For many people, none of these things are happening during their sleep. These people unknowingly deprive their brain and body of oxygen and deep restorative sleep over and over, all night long, night after night. The harm of not obtaining healthy sleep affects your life and the people who live with you, too!
Dr. Angela Lunn, a Board-Certified sleep dentist, Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, has dedicated her practice to the management of sleep apnea and snoring. She has been in private practice for over 30 years, graduating with her first degree in dental hygiene in 1982 and her DDS degree in 1986 from the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. She graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine’s Dental Sleep Medicine Mini- Residency in 2017.
Dr. Lunn’s patients, many of whom are CPAP-intolerant, come to her seeking a non-surgical alternative for snoring and sleep apnea to improve their symptoms of unrefreshed sleep, snoring, and memory loss. She relates, in an understandable way, how snoring, sleep apnea, and sleep-disturbed breathing rob one’s health and how, with custom oral appliance therapy, these conditions can be managed.
Dr. Lunn’s expertise is helping patients understand options for a simple, actionable way to get a better night’s sleep.
