Chattanooga’s FIRST and ONLY Board Certified Dental Sleep Medicine Doctor
Dr. Angela has been treating dental patients since 1980. In discussing their health issues, Dr. Angela realized that many of her patients suffered from mild to moderate Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Already treating patients who had TMD/TMJ issues with oral appliance therapy, Dr. Angela realized that oral appliances would be an effective, non-invasive therapy option for patients with OSA. In 2011, Medicare approved reimbursement for custom made Oral Appliance devices for treatment of OSA and today most insurance companies reimburse as well. In addition to being a member of the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, she is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM).
The vital importance of sleep is that it enhances our ability to learn, make decisions, build up our immune system, regulate our appetite, and recalibrate our emotions. For many people, none of these things are happening during their sleep. Dr. Lunn’s expertise is helping patients understand options for a simple, actionable way to get a better night’s sleep.
